St. Louis, MO, November, 2008—Forty residents and faculty gathered at St. Louis University Orthodontic School in St. Louis, Missouri, for Dolphin Management’s first annual Graduate Resident Seminar. Mr. Paul Zuelke (Paul Zuelke & Associates) shared advice on growing a new practice internally and externally. “Paul Zuelke gave a lot of great info about things to do to make a practice profitable and some of the huge pitfalls to avoid,” said resident Jessica Woller. Mr. Chris Bentson (Bentson, Clark & Copple Orthodontic Valuation & Transition Services) followed with a presentation on the process of acquiring and/or purchasing a practice. “Chris Bentson shared very useful information on transition and practice buying,” offered Doug MacGilpin, resident.

Dolphin team members Tony Mallegni (university sales rep) and Todd Blankenbecler (vice president, sales) were in attendance at the meeting.

The event was enthusiastically received by attendees, who left eager to apply their new knowledge to their future careers. “I gained a lot of insight on how I can view the numbers of a practice, regardless of my treatment philosophy,” said Rob Patterson, resident.

The entire Dolphin staff would like to thank local customer Dr. Bill Mastorakos and his New Patient Coordinator Christa Cira for helping out onsite with setup and miscellaneous duties, including photography.
