Dolphin Friends Meeting in Torino, Italy
Torino, Italy, December, 2009—Dolphins in Europe got together on December 12th in Torino, Italy, for the very first Dolphin Friends Meeting, organized by Major Partner (Dolphin distributor - Eastern Europe) in collaboration with Dolphin Spain. Attendees brushed up on their software skills, shared their experiences with technology, and got first-hand tips on how to integrate Dolphin into a daily practice. “Our purpose was to facilitate the networking opportunities among Dolphin users, with the goal of developing a tight European network,” says Otto Colette, Dolphin executive vice president. “Going forward, we are planning to replace the annual European Meeting with more frequent, local meetings like this.”Attendees traveled from Azerbaijan, Sweden, Latvia and Italy to participate in the all-day program. First up was Dolphin director Chester Wang, who patched in via video conference from Chatsworth to address the audience on “Why Dolphin?” Next, Dr. Francesco Garino and Alessandro Manzoli presented on “Dolphin Day by Day: How to use Dolphin in your practice every day.” They were followed by presentations on various Dolphin imaging software modules and features, in addition to “IT topics on Dolphin: network, back up, IT configurations, Dolphin licenses.” A hands-on Computer Lab was open all day for one-on-one training.
