Chatsworth, CA, December 2011 — The SMS feature in Dolphin Management’s Appointment Reminders saw a peak in traffic during the month of November with more than 30,000 texts sailing through the system. “Usage of the SMS feature has increased consistently since we introduced it earlier this year,” says Todd Blankenbecler, manager of Dolphin Management development. Moms, dads and especially teenagers, often prefer communicating via text messaging, so we saw it as an obvious feature to offer in the Dolphin Management program.” The Appointment Reminders feature lets you send a text message* to remind patients about upcoming appointments. Patients have the capability to reply to confirm they’ll make the appointment, allowing for two-way communication. The SMS Manager keeps track of all messages that have been sent and received. SMS Appointment Reminders is available in Dolphin Management 4.5 Service Pack 1 or greater. The soon-to-be-released Dolphin Management 5 has a button throughout the program, allowing you to easily send a SMS text message to a Patient, Billing Party, Doctor, Staff, etc. Also, easily pick from your pre-defined list of SMS templates and even schedule the text messages to be sent on a specific date. For example, enter a text on Monday and schedule it to be sent on Friday, before the big game!: *An SMS subscription with Dolphin is required. $49 one-time setup fee and $99 monthly subscription fee for unlimited texts. |
