Lisa was born in Brooklyn and raised in Northern New Jersey. She began her writing career as a reporter for regional newspapers in the NY metropolitan area, and went on to work on staff as an editor and journalist for both consumer and trade magazines, with an emphasis in the healthcare industry. She has a BA in Literature/Creative Writing from Fairfield University in CT.
