Surviving and Thriving in these Tough Economic Times
A single CBCT scan makes available to the clinical orthodontist all the images required to prepare a true and complete diagnostic assessment and an accurate treatment plan. These diagnostic images include traditional 2D (pan, ceph and frontal), alveolar cross sections, triple plane views, TMJ, airway, 3D volumetric renderings, 3D photo integration and digital models. This lecture will include the use of these images to help develop treatment plans in cases including cuspid impaction, root resorption, arch expansion, TMJ, orthognathic surgery, cleft palate, implant preparation, trauma and pathology. A discussion of patient radiation exposure, office learning curves and costs, and comparative radiography will be included.
